Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, a down on his luck reporter who's fused with an alien symbiote, giving him super-human powers. After being introduced in the Venom post-credits scene, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) aka Carnage is expected to be the main villain of the sequel. Venom: Let There Be Carnage also sees the return of Michelle Williams as Eddie's ex-girlfriend Anne Weying and Reid Scott as Dan Lewis, Anne's new boyfriend. Joining the franchise is Naomie Harris as Shriek, who is Carnage's love interest in the Marvel Comics.
