One of the coolest things about a new Batman movie has always been getting to see a new Batsuit in action.

There's some things about the fit that never seem to change – the cowl, the cape, the little ears – but sizing up each new iteration's modern advancements is something comic book fans never get tired of doing.

Of course, just because the suits look cool doesn't mean they're very practical. Batman may not be wearing hockey pads, but he's also, according to some spoil-sports, not wearing an appropriate outfit for crime fighting (or BASE jumping) at all. According to real-life science, this is why Batman's costume actually makes no sense.
