Description

Following political remarks made as an Academy Awards presenter in 1993, Richard Gere faced bans from both the Oscars and China. Despite this setback, he demonstrated remarkable resilience by making a triumphant comeback to the Oscars in 2003 and once more in 2013. Although his career encountered hurdles after 1993, Gere has recently surged back with a 2023 film and has three forthcoming projects in the pipeline, notably including Paul Schrader's "Oh, Canada."
