Will A New Season Of Futurama Ever Happen?

Over two decades ago, viewers everywhere fell in love with Matt Groening's hit animated sci-fi series “Futurama.” The show ran for 140 episodes, and while some fans may feel like that was a perfect number to end on, others would be glad to see the series continue for as long as possible.

Groening's other hit show, “The Simpsons,” has been on the air since 1989 and continues to produce new episodes to this day. Sadly, “Futurama” has not had the same streak. With two cancelations, it’s unlikely the sci-fi cartoon will ever pull in the same numbers as its older sibling. With that said, will a new season of “Futurama” ever happen?
